We have a double-seater sofa bed and will be moving next week. It’s a white sofa, and when we got the sofa it had been professionally packed. I imagine that I can wrap the cushions up to protect them, but does anyone have ideas about how I can cover the rest to keep it from getting totally dirty? I’ve had different ideas, but whatever is covering it would need to be tough enough to not get torn off when going through doors, etc, but flexible enough to allow it to be handled by the guys moving it. Any ideas? Thank you!

I don’t know if this will work for your sofa-bed- But I’ve always had good luck with tying blankets around my larger pieces of furniture. Though the blankets would have to be washed afterwards.

    Good luck!

wrap it with clean sheets then cover those with moving blankets.

cover your sofa with blankets then cover that with a few tarps .

Best protection is moving pads which are used by professional movers, although I doubt that you have those or that you care to purchase them. normally 1-2 will be enough if they’re the professional ones. Some places (like U-Haul, Public Storage, Home Depot) sell moving equipment and they might carry those as well, although they might not be that heavy duty. Or you can use just any other blanket, it would be better than sheets or shrink wrap as blankets will not tear easily and will give extra cushioning as well.
