Should framed photos on a coffee table face the sofa or the room?

When placing framed photographs on the coffee table in front of a sofa, should the photos face the sofa (so that the person seated can view them), or should they face out to the room (so that others may view them)?

I don’t know if there is any hard and fast rule, but I think the photos should face out toward the room, so they are visible as people enter the room.
get a coffee table that you can lay your photo’s flat & place a piece of glass over them. looks neat.
I think they should face the sofa but on a slight angle so that you can partially see them from the other side too
Good question! That’s why I guess I usually put framed photos on a shelf against a wall, but I’d have to say toward the couch.
It really depends on how the room is set up. I would most definitely say to put them facing out towards the room for everyone to see.
