How do I stop feathers from coming out of my sofa?
I have a down feather filled sofa and feathers keep coming out. I am finding them all over the sofa and the people sitting on it. Is there any way of stopping this?

interesting. Feathers aren’t usually used for sofas because they compact so much, they don’t offer good support/structure. Well- the only solution I know of, is making your own liner. You would have to open the cushions, and If there IS a liner in there already, take it out, and basically make a pillowcase around with with another fabric that will hold in the feathers. (you need a VERY tight weave so they don’t come through- check your fabric shop for recommendations near you). If there is no liner in there (loose feathers when you open the zippered cushions) well, that’s you’re problem. You need to measure and custom sew a liner for it, and put all the feathers inside that. Then you would re-put on the “real” outer cover to your cushions. If the actual SOFA part (not just additional cushions) has feathers coming out, unless you’re very handy, I’d get quotes on getting the whole thing reupholstered.
