Oh Hon, the acetone in the polish remover does a bad job on leather and plastic. It’s not that you can get it off. But, you may be abe to cover or color up the spot that’s faded with black shoe polish. Use the kind that comes in a tin. Use a soft old white Tshirt to apply. Let it on a bit so it penetrates the leather well. Then buff off well. You may have to do several applications till it gets to not look noticeable. Good luck Sweetie.

Nail polish remover (acetone) is likely to have removed the finish on the leather.

Please do not use shoe polish as this is unlikely to cover the damage and will only come off on your clothes.

DIY remedies generally cause many more problems and make final restoration more costly and more difficult.

This job is best left to a qualified leather technician who will have the best products and methods for rectifying the problem. Look for an LTT trained technician who wil be qualified to do this type of work.
