Go to your auto parts store and buy premoistened leather seat wipes for autos. They work good and moisten the leather without getting on clothes.
You need to use a good quality foam leather cleaner (you will not find one of these on your supermarket shelf). It needs to be a water based cleaner as this helps re hydrate the leather as it is cleaning.
Once you have used this use a good quality leather protector again water based and this will keep your leather looking and feeling good.
Do not use baby wipes or any cleaner or ‘conditioner’ containing oils waxes or silicones as these will damage your leather.
