Can a person be allergic to a lazy boy sofa?
I get rashes and hives when a laydown on my sofa. I’m the only one in the house that gets rashes or hives. My kids say they get ichy but no rashes. I go to an allergist. She justs looks at me strangely when I tell her about this. Could it have something on it that I am allergic too? Fabric protector? Formaldehyde? Help. The couches are nice. I hate to get ride of them.

fleas?
its mainly from the material so you should buy a differnt sofa soon or sit in a normal chair
cover them with a cloth that you can stand if this doesn’t work then it is something in them and you need to get rid of them
Are you using any fabric refreshers? That may be the problem.
sounds like a dust allergy. it could be the material, it could be bed bugs. it depends on what the material is, it can be a conditioner of some kind. do any animals sit on the sofa?
you’ll have to experiment a bit. rub your arm on the couch and seeing if it’s the couch, clean a section, try again. try a different chair or a simaler material.
i had a mystery rash for the longest time. itched like crazy, felt like i rolled in fiberglass. it turns out, i’m allergic to common english ivy. it’s found anywhere, and the smallest amount worms it way into my skin. i can practically feel it grow… i stay away from it now, but it took years to figure it out.
